Beast Mode could make a return.
The rumors are very real and may just result in someone taking Marshawn Lynch’s cleats off the telephone line. On Wednesday, Lynch took a visit with his hometown team the Oakland Raiders.
Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schnider confirmed that the Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders have been in conversation about Lynch. If the deal was to happen it would be smooth as Schnider and Oakland’s general manager Reggie McKenzie have a former relationship from working together at the Green Bay Packers.
Beast Mode would be a great fit for the Raiders. After not signing Latavius Murray, they need a power running back. It doesn’t get more powerful than Lynch. The combination of Lynch, Derek Carr, Micheal Crabtree and Amari Cooper the Raiders would be unstoppable in short yardage/goal line situations. Lynch would also complete the backfield being paired with DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard.
This football family would only be ideal if the 30-year-old back can stay healthy after taking off a year, in 2015 he missed nine games due to injury.
