It’s Draft Time

It’s draft eve so you know what that means. Football season is almost upon us all. This years draft will come with it’s surprises and let downs as normal. There has been a lot of movement of trades before the big day but this is how I se the first round of the draft going as such:

  1. Los Angeles Rams
    1. Jared Goff, QB, California: The Rams need a QB out of all of the quarterbacks in the draft he is the best fit for the NFL.
  2. Philadelphia Eagles
    1. Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State: The Eagles did some moving to get Wentz, so best believe he will be their franchise guy. I like the fact the Eagles where aggressive and moved up the draft but I don’t think Wentz will be what they are looking for.
  3. San Diego Chargers
    1. Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss: At this point in the draft Tunsil will be the best overall player. Not to mention the Chargers have to find a way to protect Phillip Rivers and keep him healthy. He took 40 sacks last season the second most in his entire career.
  4. Dallas Cowboys
    1. Jalen Ramsey, FS, Florida State: Ramsey is the best corner in the draft and the Cowboys need him. It’s that simple.
  5. Jacksonville Jaguars
    1. DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon: Jacksonville would probably much rather have Myles Jack but he is too much of a risk with his knee. Buckner is the next best thing.
  6. Baltimore Ravens
    1. Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame: The Ravens need help on their O-line to help protect the quarterback and strengthen the run game. He needs to work on his run blocking but the quarterback will be safe.
  7. San Francisco 49ers
    1. Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis: Even though they have Colin Kaepernick they need a franchise passer. Some competition will put a fire under both players.
  8. Cleveland Browns
    1. Myles Jack, OLB, UCLA: Jack is ranked high but is knee is still a big question. The Browns need help on defensive and have the room to take risk. They are already at the bottom.
  9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    1. Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State: Bosa can be considered a top-5 pick. The Buccs to the better their pass rush and Bosa is the key.
  10. New York Giants
    1. Darron Lee, OLB, Ohio State: The Giants need defensive help in a major way. They might pick up Ezekiel Elliott but the best option will be Lee. He is a quick pass rusher.
  11. Chicago Bears
    1. Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia: He has so much room to grow and has a lot o potential to be a great pass rusher.
  12. New Orleans Saints
    1. Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville: He is a disruptive force who can change a defensive for the better.
  13. Miami Dolphins
    1. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State: They have been on the hunt for running backs all summer long why not grab one out of the league who is a beast.
  14. Oakland Raiders
    1. William Jackson III, CB, Houston: Very versatile, which is key. He can play corner or back end, take your pick.
  15. Tennessee Titans
    1. Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State: Just because they have moved down in the draft doesn’t mean that they still wont get a tackle.
  16. Detroit Lions
    1. Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama: He is everything that you need. Big, tough and quick. You can’t ask for more.
  17. Atlanta Falcons
    1. Reggie Regland, ILB, Alabama: Talk about a major upgrade to the linebacker group. He is a beast in the run game.
  18. Indianapolis Colts
    1. Chris Jones, DT, Mississippi State: This can be a major steal at this spot. He has star potential.
  19. Buffalo Bills
    1. Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson: The Bills need help for the pass rush. Rex Ryan’s defensive mindset will make Lawson into more of a monster than he already is.
  20. New York Jets
    1. Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky: With his pass rush ability the Jets will take a chance on Spence even with his off-field troubles.
  21. Washington Redskins
    1. Karl Joseph, SS, West Virginia: Because they signed Josh Norman they have filled their need for a corner so now their eyes are locked on a corner. Even though Joseph just came off of ACL surgery he is the best pure safety in the draft and he is worth the risk.
  22. Houston Texans
    1. Josh Doctson, WR, TCU: DeAndre Hopkins needs some help on the other side and Doctson will be a good pick.
  23. Minnesota Vikings
    1. Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss: The man has turbo speed and he plays faster than he was timed.
  24. Cincinnati Bengals
    1. Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame: He will be great help for A.J. Green and just keep adding to the Bengals offensive. He has great speed as well.
  25. Pittsburg Steelers
    1. Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida: Because the Redskins signed Norman that saved Hargreaves for the Steelers. The Steelers need a corner in a major way.
  26. Seattle Seahawks
    1. Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State: The Seahawks are lacking on tackles and need to protect Russell Wilson.
  27. Green Bay Packers
    1. Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor: The Packers need someone to pack the middle of their defense and Billings is the man for the job.
  28. Kanas City Chiefs
    1. Artie Burns, CB, Miami (Fla.): He would be a nice combo with Marcus Peters to give the Chiefs nice 1-2 punch. He isn’t that big but he can cover.
  29. New England Patriots (Forfeited Pick)
  30. Arizona Cardinals
    1. Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama: They have already added guard Evan Mathis to compliment Mike Lupati and Kelly will just add more. Their o-lone will be set with this pick.
  31. Carolina Panthers
    1. Le’Raven Clark, OT, Texas Tech: After the Super Bowl the need to improve their line is a must. They can worry about replacing Josh Norman later.
  32. Denver Broncos
    1. Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss: He is a top-5 talent but he just has some off-field troubles.
