The End of the Streak

Antonio Brown’s record for at least 5 catches for 50 yards has ended. Brown’s streak will end at 35 games. Thursday night against the Ravens Brown could not reach his goal. Even though Brown was thrown to a total of nine times he was only able to grab five balls for 42 yards. Falling 8 yards too short.

Losing to the Raven’s stopped another streak. Pittsburgh had won 57 straight regular-season home games when leading by more than 10 points. The only longer active streak in the NFL belongs the Patriots. Without Ben Roethlisberger Pittsburg was more dependent on the run game, that was effective.

If it wasn’t for Josh Scobee missing two field goals Thursday night the Steelers would have pulled out a win. Scobee has missed 10 field goals since the start of last season. He is tied for the most in NFL with Blair Walsh.
