There where a couple notable releases Saturday. The Philadelphia Eagles released QB Tim Tebow. He would’ve been the 3rd string QB behind Sam Bardford. Even though Tebow has been performing pretty good during the preseason there was not really a spot for him on the roster. Along with Tebow, Devon Still was released from the Cincinnati Bengals. He is now a free agent and can be picked up by any of the other 31 teams in the league.
Also QB of the Washington Redskins Robert Griffin III will now be playing second string. He was sidelined August 20 for a concussion. Kirk Cousins was named the Redskins starting QB.
The Redskins have decided not to drop Griffin even though he is a financial risk. He has spent the last couple of years injured and hasn’t really lived up to his hype of a Hiessman Trophy winner, in my opinion.
